This works so well because of the longer pole. We needed stability on a lake with a lot of wind. We used it under a small Polywood table with 4 chairs. We weren't sure it would fit because of the structure under the table, but it does!

The base is heavy to help keep the umbrella steady.
I like the decorative design on the top. The pole fits thru the hole that is on the patio table top.

The best part about this umbrella base is that assembles without the need for any tools. Insert the bolt into the base and screw in the tube and you're set!
Umbrella bases made of metal can easily rust out over time, especially if you are in the vicinity of salt water.

This base is made from cement coated in plastic which should help provide longevity without worrying about rusting out. It is perfectly suitable for 6-9' umbrellas but because it's not super wide, you should definitely put down your umbrella when there is wind in the forecast.
